bswift’s Decision Support tool, Ask Emma, was a project I helped concept from the ground up.  Initially, the product was conceived of as a tool to estimate the best health care plan value available to a user. In order to estimate that cost, the more information gleaned about a user’s health plan usage the more accurate the estimate.  Prescriptions were a big component of estimating the cost of a health plan. In this flow detail, the user can input the prescriptions that he/she uses along with the prescriptions used by anyone else covered by the health plan. Providing this information allowed the user to see what prescriptions were covered with each plan, helping them make more informed decisions.
